Aga khan Medical University Registration
The entrance test is held annually at
Aga Khan Medical College. Aga Khan University Karachi conducts the entry test.
Candidates are shortlisted for
interview after qualifying for the entrance test. Short listing for interviews
is based on combining the achievement of secondary school with the score of the
AKU Admission Test. A student is eligible for admission to Aga Khan Medical
College if both the entrance test and the interview are qualified.
Test pattern for AKU Test
Biology (20 MCQs)
Chemistry (20 MCQs)
Physics (20 MCQs)
Science Reasoning (30 MCQs)
Mathematics Reasoning (30 MCQs)
Total MCQs = 120
Time allotted = 2 hours & 30
minutes.
NOTE:
NOTE:
Only for the sub-section Biology,
Chemistry and Physics, where each wrong answer loses 0.25 marks, is negative
marking.

Eligibility Criteria
Students who have completed or are
completing their HSSC (FSc Pre-Medical) successfully may apply for the test.
Candidates following education systems
(i.e. A-level) other than the Pakistani system will be required to submit a
certificate of equivalence from the Chairman's Inter-Board Committee (IBCC) in
Pakistan. The qualification must be the equivalent of Pakistan's Pre-Medical
qualification.
How
to Apply
Applicants must apply online. Last Date to apply is 16 May 2019.
Candidates may request a paper-based
application form only in situations where the online application is not
accessible by emailing the admission office at admissions.query@aku.edu
Submission of a Paper Application
A paper-based application must be
submitted following documents:
- Form completed on paper
- Two recent passport color photographs with your name and attestation on the back
- Certified photocopies of trademarks / official transcripts / general certificates as shown in the form
- Copy of ' B ' Form / CNIC / NICOP for applicants from Pakistan or relevant passport pages for applicants from other countries
- An additional envelope with your name, address and number of contacts. University use this envelope to send you the admit card
- Original application fee receipt of payment
Fee for Application
As described
below, a non-refundable application fee shall apply:
- Applicants from residential AKU countries : Rs 6,300/-
- Non-residential candidates from the AKU: US$ 306/-
