Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants who have completed Intermediate (F.A / F.Sc) or Bachelor (B.A / B.SC, BBA or BS (4-year hons).
Age Limit:
The age limit is 17 - 21 years for intermediate candidates
17 - 23 years for Bachelor
17 - 24 for 4-year degree program
Gender:
Only male candidates can apply.
Marital status:
Fresh candidates should be unmarried, but married serving Armed Forces personnel over the age of 20 may apply as well.
Nationality:
Pakistani citizens residing in any province in Pakistan, including Azad Kashmir / Gilgit - Baltistan, may apply. Applicants with dual nationality will have to surrender other countries ' nationalities at the final selection.
Physical Standards:
Minimum height: a minimum height of 5 ' feet – 4 "inches (162.5 cm) for each candidate.

Selection Procedure
These are the stages a candidate has to go through:
- Registration
- Initial test
- ISSB
- Medical
Registration
A candidate may register online at www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk. Applicants can also register by visiting nearest AS&RCs (Army Selection and Recruitment Centers) in any major city in Pakistan.
AS&RCs are located in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Gilgit, Hyderabad, Multan, DI Khan, Faisalabad, Khuzdar and Pano Aqil.
INITIAL TESTS:
The candidates are called for the initial test after registration. There are many tests in these tests. Which are the following:
- Online tests
- Medical tests
- Physical tests
- Interview
ONLINE TESTS:
The online test includes verbal, non-verbal, and academic testing. Verbal with 94 questions to be solved within 30 minutes, non-verbal tests contain 96 questions to be solved within 30 minutes and academic tests include 50 questions to be solved within 30 minutes. Tests of verbal and non-verbal are based on common sense. Like series questioning, strange man out etc., non-verbal having the same questions of common sense but related to pictures. It gives shapes and sizes. The academic test includes questions from studies in Pakistan, Islamiyat, general knowledge, mathematics, physics and English. Below are examples. Applicants who pass the verbal shall proceed to the non-verbal and those who clear the non-verbal shall proceed to the academic. Those who pass online tests are sent only for medical purposes. At that stage, the candidate who fails at any stage will be sent back and may only appear in the next course.

MEDICAL TESTS:
The candidate's body is briefly checked by a doctor at the same center and on the same day. This includes height, weight, bones, feet, elbows, knees, skin, eyes, nose, ears, teeth, etc.
PHYSICAL TESTS:
On a separate date in the ground, all candidates declared medically fit by the doctor will be physically called. Where they appear in an 8:30 mile run, 15 push-ups, 15 ups, 3 chin ups, and you cross. They will be asked for an interview after clearing this test.
INTERVIEW:
It's also called the test of personality. The basic requirement in the interview is trust, respect and the nature of the candidate being tested. There are general knowledge issues, rapid mathematics and the personality of the candidate. Equally important are dress and appearance.
That concludes the second selection step for an army candidate. Forms together with candidate documents shall be submitted to the respective AS&RC from which they are posted to the GHQ. After 30 to 40 days, the ISSB call will be dispatched. The ISSB call will be received by the candidate 10 days before the reporting day. This call will also be posted on the Army's official website.
ISSB is not a small word, it is a board of selection for inter-services. This test is the most versatile and important and every individual can apply for ISSB only twice in their lifetime. The induction of any candidate in the army, air force or navy is responsible for this test. This test includes many tests taken from a candidate within 4 days.
